Reviews from Happy Patients

Dr. Pyle, Bill and the staff are beyond excellent. They put what is best for you first, even if you don't see it at first. Dr. Pyle found a spot near my optic nerve which the Jules Stein Institute thought could have caused brain cancer. Fortunately it did not, but Dr. Pyle monitors my eyes like I am family. The only bad reviews seem to be from people who never were treated here. Estrella Eye Care is busy because it is simply the best. So be patient and you will be glad you did if you are concerned about your vision and not just how your glasses look.

Ask Our Doctors a Question

Q: I see fine. Why do I need to see an Eye Doctor?
A: Regular eye exams are the only way to catch “silent” diseases such as diabetes, glaucoma and other conditions in their early stages, when they’re more easily managed or treated. Considering mass-produced, over-the-counter reading glasses? You are truly doing yourself a disservice, both financially and medically. One-size-fits-all reading glasses not only do not work well for most people who have a different prescription in each eye, and/or astigmatism, or whose lens and frame parameters are not measured correctly. Moreover, they bypass the opportunity to have their eyes checked for early detection of many manageable diseases or conditions. For those insisting on selecting glasses not measured specifically for their eyes, headache and eye fatigue are common symptoms.

Q: Do you recommend certain contact lenses for sensitive eyes?
A: Some people’s eyes do not react well to specific lens materials. Since they don’t need to withstand long-lasting wear, daily lenses generally differ from monthlies with regard to the materials, water content and oxygen permeability. A particular lens composition may be more or less comfortable for your eyes, and what feels good for one contact lens wearer may be uncomfortable for another. We’ll evaluate your vision condition with an eye exam, to recommend the best materials for your comfortable vision.
